Interesting Na Pali Facts

Sea Turtles
Pacific Green Sea Turtles, or Na Honu Kai, live well over 100 years, weigh 300–400 pounds at adulthood, with shells up to 4 feet long.

While resting, Sea Turtles can hold their breath for up to 5 hours.

The Sea Turtles born in Hawaiian waters leave their birth waters to roam the ocean for the first 25 years of their lives then return, having grown to the approximate size of a dinner plate, and remain in their home waters for the remainder for their lives.

See you on the Na Pali coast!

We appreciate our guests taking the time to add their comments to our Guest Book.

We took the Explorer 1 boat ride on Tuesday, June 28th with Captain Sean and we had the greatest time ever! We were on our honeymoon and visited 3 islands, but this was our favorite event by far! The boat ride was exciting and so much fun and it was awesome to see the gorgeous and breathtaking scenery of the Napali coast...we will spread the word. A big Aloha and Mahalo to Capt. Sean...and we have to disagree that he doesn't like looking at himself =)

My sister Mary, husband Hal and I traveled to Na Pali with Captain Tara and Kim on Sunday, June 19th, 2005. As per usual, neither the day nor the captain disappointed us. Tara is awesome and her enthusiasm for the wildlife (the spinners seem to know her by name!) and knowledge of the area never ceases to amaze us. We had a wonderful day riding the waters and viewing all of the beauty your lovely island had to offer these weary commuters from land-locked Northern Virgina. We know that Tara will always provide us a great adventure. See you next year. Mahalo!

AWESOME! A word my 10-year old couldn't stop using the entire day of our adventure with Captain Rob (the Skipper) and First Mate Jason (Gilligan)! We ventured out on one of your first tours of the 2006 season and even as Winter was upon us the Na Pali Coast was not shut down for business. We snorkeled in the calmer waters under a sunny sky in 80 degree weather before heading straight into the head winds on our way to the get an up-close and personal look at the spectacular Cliffs, graceful Waterfalls, and remote Caves. As advertised, we experienced everything and so much more! From our own personal Hawaiian Monk Seal stopping by the side of the boat to wish us well on our journey to watching Sea Turtles sunbathing on the beaches while winding down our awesome day with a spectacular acrobatic show of the migrating humpback whales all expertly choreographed by our Crew, no doubt! Our Crew and You Support Staff, like the tour, are Uniquely Top Notch!

My parents, husband, and I came out February 12th, 2006 to do the 5 1/2 hour NaPali coast tour. We had an amazing time! The staff was very professional from start to end, catering to our every needs. Our captain was VERY knowledgeable and explained everything we saw with complete reverence to the "Mana" of all Hawaii's creatures, land and waters. Lunch was yummy, and the ride was a blast! As the manager of a watersports company on Oahu, I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kaua'i. Mahalo and A hui hou!

We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We wanted to do something adventurous. Touring the Na Pali shoreline was the most fun I've had since I was a teenager. Snorkling was the best part of the trip. I never thought I would love being under the water. The sea life is so beautiful you forget about the world above.

We have been going out with the Na Pali Explorer for 14 years. It is our must do activity when visiting Kauai. This is the latest that we have taken the trip; yet, we were still treated to 6 full breaches from 3 males. We saw a baby, the mother and a number of spouts with rolling backs. Dolphins chased and swam along side the boat. Then a tour of the spectacular Na Pali coast. The trip takes your breath away. A magical way to experience Kauai. The staff is friendly and helpful; especially the owner, Mary! Do not miss this trip.

We visited kauai in September 2008 and took your Napali tour in the Explorer 1. It was the highlight of our trip. Sean was the captain and Sandy the crew. They took care of everything! It was fantastic!

We took the Na Pali explorer with Captain Dennis and it was fabulous. He was so funny and made all of us feel comfortable even though the water was choppy! he tried to take us as far as he could but weather condiditons didnt apply, so he found us a nice place to snorkel instead. Also props to the whole entire company for giving us a complimentary photo cd since we couldnt see any of the na pali coast. this is a great company and when my adventures take me back to Kauai, which they will, i will defintely book tours with you again, and reccomend you to everyone!! thanks for the awesome adventure!!!

We had an awesome time on this excursion while on our honeymoon (booked through a Princess cruise). We were running late getting back and were unable to stop at your office to get our photos & video. Can someone from your tour company please contact me via email to see if we can still get those? The tour we took was on Tuesday, 10/7/08. Thanks!!

My husband and I took the snorkel tour leaving from Hanalei Harbor on the Ocean Adventurer in August 2008. The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable and the Na Pali coast is breath-taking. There is no breakfast or lunch served if you take the tour leaving from Hanalei Harbor, and I wish this had been clearer on the website. Also, we did not make a beach landing at all during the tour. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and you should definitely not miss seeing the Na Pali coast.

My wife and I went on the adventure trip last week and can't say enough great things about the whole operation! From the time we made the reservation, to the greeting in your office, all the way to the farewells, we experienced the kind of professionalism and heartfelt hospitality that should be the envy of your colleagues everywhere. Captain Greg and First Mate Tara were amazing in their attentiveness, friendliness, instruction, education-they made the day almost as much as Na Pali itself. I can't claim to have been on a lot of snorkeling/sightseeing trips like this, but I have been on many, many guided fishing trips, and have only had this kind of professional, sincere treatment once or twice. Hats off! We'll be back! (Captain Greg: Do you remember what POSH stands for and where it came from?) Mahalo

We went on the Explorer 2 tour last August - we were there for our honeymoon. This was by far the BEST thing we did during our entire stay! The captain and staff were AWESOME! They were so friendly and knew so much about the marine life and Napali Coast and it's history! We were on the Explorer 2 and we got to go under the most sacred waterfall in the world - it was just beautiful! Speaking of which... we have a three month old son - a permanent souvenier of our honeymoon and we think the waterfall on the Napali trip had something to do with it! :) The tour was AWESOME, the staff was FABULOUS, we would recommend this to anyone wanting to see the Napali Coast and learn it's history. Really fun time and we cant wait to come back with our son when he is old enough!!!

This was by far the best day we had sine our arrival to Kauai! The coast is so dramatic and breathtaking! The crew was very hospitable and had wonderful stories to tell about the history of the Napali Coast. If you ride the Ocean Adventurer sit on the side in the front for an real fun and exciting ride!

I went fishing with Captain Chris and Junior on 3/31/08 along with 3 other clients on the "Happy Times." We had tremendous success that day - everyone reeled in at least one fish, and had a total of seven fish that day. The crew was awesome: knowledgeable, skillful and FUN! I highly recommend going on a fishing expedition with Na Pali Explorer!!! I have a couple of photos from the trip that I would like to send to Junior. If you email me an address to send these to, I would greatly appreciate it. Warm regards. Craig

We have been visiting Kauai for several years and the tour of the Na Pali coast is our favorite excursion. Justin is a great guide and being a local he has firsthand knowlege of the Island. We enjoyed him so much we also booked a fishing trip on our last vist. With Justin as deckhand and Jordan on the bridge we couldn't have had a more successful trip. We will see you again in October.

Just got back from Hawaii. We had a great trip on February 29. We took it to see the Na Pali coast but got the added treat of seeing lots of whales. The staff was fun, very knowledgeable, and competent. The Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat was exciting but also gave a couple of options for the "type" of ride. We rode on regular boats out of Kona and the north shore of Oahu and this was by far the most fun. Thanks, so much. Wish we'd been able to stay to see the dvd but we had to catch a plane. Maybe next time. We'd recommend your trip over regular boats any day.

We took the A.M. rafting trip on 7/25, and I tell you we will reccommend this trip to all our Kaua'i bound friends! Captain Sean and Michelle were a blast, it is incredible how a personality can enhance such a sight-seeing trip as this, and both of their personalities made this trip that much more enjoyable!! The scenery was beautiful, the boat ride as good as any amusement park, and my goal of seeing turtles and dolphins was satisfied. Nicole and I were so thrilled with our trip we dropped a line with the concierge at the Sheraton Kaua'i, telling them how much fun this trip was. I really appreciate it, and we cannot wait to see more on our next trip to Kaua'i. We will be requesting Sean and Michelle again!! Thanks! -Tim Schuneman

The highlight of our trip to Kauai was the day spent jamming over the turqoise sea with Capt. Sean and crew in Explorer 1! Exciting, thrilling, beautiful, breathtaking...need I say more? Everything that others have said is true about what you see, but the thing that stands out for us are the stories and culture shared by the crew. They enjoy their job and it shows! Ask Capt. Sean if you can wear his sunglasses and look out over the water..WOW!!! Thanks so much for giving us the ride of our life! We'll be back again and we'll bring our kids next time! Mahalo!

My sister and I took the Explorer I trip with Capt. Sean on July 12th and it was worth every penny. I can't get the image of the beautiful blue ocean out of my mind. His dry sense of humor was great! While visiting Kauai for our 20th wedding anniversary, we took the trip from Hanalai and it was absolutely worth every penny spent. The crew were very good and the captain was a pro at maneuvering that boat! fantastic trip and one I think everyone should do while visiting Kauai. I highly recommend Napali Explorers make the Hanalai location a permanent one!

We were there on Friday, June 29th 2007. It was a wonderful boat experience with beautiful sights of the coast and awesome cliffs. Everyone was very sweet and gave us a choice to go on a little larger boat as the surf was really rough. In fact all of the people there on Kauai were so absolutely gracious and we had a fabulous week. Mahalo

Of the two weeks and many excursions I took while in Hawaii in June '07, this trip with Greg and Kaina keeps coming up in my mind. The beauty of the coast is like no other--and I've seen all 50 states! Greg and Kaina as well as office staff and driver really DID make me feel like ohana. Spinner dophins, sea turtles, flying fish all appeared on cue and the snorkeling was incredible. The warm, clear water was a joy just to swim in. The sea life was frosting on the cake. If I could relive just one day of my trip, it would be the one I spent with your crew on the Na Pali Coast. Thank you SO much. Oh, and I wear my T-shirt with pride. If I'm ever lost I know I will be returned to the Na Pali Explorer :-)! Mahalo, Renee Badertscher, Lapeer, Michigan

This was my third trip to Hawaii. My husband had been there several times, but in the Navy...I told him I'd show him a MUCH better time than the Navy did! I had seen the Na Pali coast by helicopter and it is so much better from the water...much more "up close and personal"!! I have three words of advice for anyone who is planning a trip to Kauai...DO, LEAVE and BUY. DO...take the Na Pali Explorer trip. Our vacation was fabulous and the Na Pali boat trip was absolutely the highpoint. There are no words to descibe the beauty! We took the three and a half hour sightseeing cruise...truly awesome!! The staff is the best!! LEAVE...your camera in your car or hotel room. If you have a good camera, don't risk getting it ruined and if it's a crappy camera, don't waste your time! LOL!! Enjoy the beauty with your eyes open and not looking thru a viewfinder! BUY...the CD that is offered at the end of the trip. They have special waterproof camera equipment that takes marvelous pictures. The CD will have pictures of your cruise plus hundreds of fabulous scenery pictures from this and other cruises. Well worth the money! It will make you glad you didn't mess with your own camera. We can't wait to go back and do it again!!

I just returned from a wonderful, fun-filled trip to Kauai. On Wednesday, June 6, my two aunts, uncle, cousin, and I took a snorkeling trip on the Explorer I. Captain Troy and Michelle were the BEST, FUNNEST crew EVER. When the trip is described as "thrill seeking", please know that it's true. From the time we left the Park until we "docked" on the Na Pali Coast for a hike, lunch, and snorkeling, I felt like I was on the wildest, funnest roller coaster. On the way back, once again, the wildest, funnest roller coaster. Do this! You owe it to yourself. You won't be disappointed. Also, if you are staying on Poipu Beach, check out Michelle on Saturday evenings at the Honu Bar at the Waiohai Beach Club. That girl can sing!!!

June 14th, 2007: Had an awesome time on the Explorer II with Greg and Kaina (aka Batman and Robin). The weather was great on the Na Pali coast even though it was stormy and rainy down by the Nawilwili harbor. We even got to go into the "eye" cave with the big boat as the sea was very calm. Kaina, the brave, performed a fantastic hawaiian clif dive after taking our picture in the cave. We were treated to lots of spinner dolphins performing their antics and heard lots of local tales and jokes. The snorkeling is better in protected reef parks, but was still quite enjoyable. Overall a very nice trip. The shade from the canopy was nice to have at times. I'll bring the family in a couple of years when they're older. Would love to do this trip again in the winter to see the whales. Mahalo nui loa!

Napali Explorer was such an awesome time! Though the ride was long and rough on the Explorer I (I think I am still sore from it, ouch!) it was totally worth it because the boat is small enough to maneuver into so many awesome places that you couldn't normally. The Na Pali coast is absolutely stunning! No visit to Kaua'i is complete without seeing NaPali and these guys are the way to go! Thanks NaPali Explorer!! Hope to see you again in the future!

We had the most wonderful time! We took our excursion on March 29th, 2006 - a perfect day for all of the whale pictures we captured! The seas were a bit rough that day, but the boat made us feel safe and secure. Our captain, Mikko, did an awesome job and knew a ton of information! He was like a walking encyclopedia (it didn't hurt that he had been born on Kuaui). We would definitely come back and do this trip again. Thanks Na Pali Explorer for an event we will never forget!

Our first honeymoon excursion on Kaua'i was the Explorer 1 boat ride up the Na Pali coast with Capt. Rob and his merry Hawaiian crew. This was the first week of August 2006 ....awesome adventure which we will never forget ! The coastline, mountains, and the knowledge of the crew was fantastic and we wish we lived closer to this perfect paradise ...It truly is God's country. We will return to your tour someday and will always remember the Captains line - "welcome to my office". He's truly a luck man !! Mahalo everyone ;-)

I recently visited Kaua'i (March 2007) and had the excellent luck of traveling with Capt. Mikel, Brooks, & Darryl (sorry if I killed the way you spell your names!). We cruised the gorgeous Na Pali coast in the Explorer II, with Mikel at the helm providing insightful commentary, Darryl cracking jokes, and Brooks taking beautiful pictures and seeing to our comforts. I was in awe of my surroundings, the open air caves (excellent navigation skills!), the verdent coastline, the glass-like waters, pods of whales surfacing here and there... absolutely sublime. It was my first time snorkeling, and it was unforgettable. Mahalo, malama pono. :) I'll be back!

Our boat ride on 12/19/2006 was AWESOME!, surf warnings were out that day for 14' to 18' swells, Captain Rob & Crew Danny said we would get wet & have fun and that we did! Riding on the rubber pontoons with our feet under the rops and crashing thru the waves was quite the THRILL! and just the beginning to an unforgettable experience. We saw 5 Whales breech up close, lots of spouts, sea turtles, the beautiful Napali coast and the green flash so famous at sunset. Do not change a thing you do and you must keep Captain Rob & Crew Danny as the ride just could not have been any better without those two. Advise to others, be sure to buy the CD they offer of your adventure at the end. Mahalo! we will spread the word and return. Mark & Linda Mellor, Boonville Missouri USA NOTE: Rob there was an older gentleman named James? on our ride that did alot of scuba diving and new alot about the military that you said you new. Danny caught several great pictures of him and his daughter visiting form the Mainland. They did not stop and get a CD. I am sure he would love to have a copy if you remember who he was. Really enjoyed visiting with you.

We took cruise down the NaPali coast late last August (2006) and had a blast! I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone-it can be as mellow or as adventerous as you want it to be, and the boats are nice and low to the water so you don't get sea sick (at least I didn't and I usually do). On our trip we saw 2 monk seals, and several turtles (one of them let us swim with him for a long time), as well as dolphins and flying fish. First mate Jason was a riot with all of his great navy diving stories. I do have one word of very serious caution for people: During the the trip they took us to a place called matrimoney falls (also know as FERTILITY falls) where you could stand underneath the falls if you wanted. My husband stood under the falls and 1 week later we got pregnant. This is really no joke! And we've been trying over a year and a half! Our baby girl is due May 20th and we're thinking of making her middle name Napali. So BEWARE!!

Aloha Mary! Nice talking to you! As I stated on phone, we will be on Kauai March 7 - 11 for our wedding. So far we are lookign at 35 guests....maybe more, although,I'm not sure how many would be interested in a boat tour. Right now I am gathering information to give to guests as to what is available and what price we have secured for them. (I certainly want to see the Napali coast by sea!) I can't say enough good things about my time on NaPali Exp II. I was so thoroughly impressed, I wrote up a review for TripAdvisor.com also. A dream-fulfilling day trip, made safe and gracious by Captain Tara, Darrel, and Junior. The scenery was drop-dead gorgeous, of course. But the crew dealt with nasty seas that day in a way that left me exhilarated, not terrified! The NCL Hawaii ships wouldn't even help me book any other NaPali trip operator - and now I know why. There's no substitute for the best! Thanks for a day I will hold close to my heart - and I'll see ya next year!

We took the 5 hour tour/snorkeling expedition on the "small boat" February 05, and it was wonderful! So wonderful, we had to come back, and planned our vacation this winter to do so. Captain Tara and Captain Justin were great, and we hope they will be available for our expedition in Feb. 07. They were so knowledgeable and taught us so much! And personable - we feel they personify the Aloha spirit. We have never seen anything as beautiful as the Na Pali coast. We had the best time, and look forward to our trip in February. P.S. Loved the DVD!

A family friend and her 3 boys and I had a fabulous time traveling the Na Pali coast and snorkeling with Captain Tara and Brooks on Saturday, Nov 18th, 2006. We truly enjoyed our tour and appreciated all of Captain Tara's knowledge of marine wildlife, awesome insight to the Island and people of Kauai, and her concern for safety at all times. We really liked the fact that the crew was local and they were a great source of information about the beautiful garden island and its surrounding marine wildlife-very impressive. They could not have made our snorkel adventure more exciding, esp. Tara being a marine biologist and showing everyone the area's "wonders of the sea" - sea turtles, reef fish, an octopus, and snorkeling - what a blast. This was the highlight of our vacation; the boys were still talking about the tour on the way back to San Diego. Tara is awesome and her enthusiasm for the wildlife and knowledge of the area never ceased to amaze us. She was the reason, outside the Na Pali Coast itself that made the trip what it was....we will spread the word. Mahalo!

Early on the morning of August 24, 2006, we began a two-week celeration of our 31st anniversary and took the honeymoon that we never had the time or money to take so many years ago by taking a marvelous trip on the Napali Explorer I with Captain Sean and first mate Daryl! The journey began at the office in Waimea being greeted by a delightful young woman (Christine, I believe) who had a smile that lit up the entire day. The slide show from our personal voyage is one of our most treasuered memories. If you have been to Kauai and haven't spent a morning on the Napali Explorer I and experienced the magic and splendor of the Napali Coast then you HAVE NOT been to Kauai!! If we are ever lucky enough to return to the Garden Isle, we will consider another trip with Na Pali Explorer to be our top priority. Thanks to you all for being a part of a very special day in our lives!!! Pete and Debbie Peters

A boat ride is just a boat ride. Add a crazy and fun, safety conscious, knowledgeable crew: here insert Captn. Sean and his merry crew Daryl, a bunch of fellow travelers wanting to share in the wild fun and now the boat ride is a fabulous roller coaster ride full of Hawaiian beauty that is the Na Pali coast and the wildlife therein. Not the crew (beauty that is). A trip on the Na pali Explorer I on August 23rd, 2006, was a highlight of our trip to Kauai this summer. We were treated to a visit by two pods of Dolphins with their young, a sea turtle without its front flipper(shark appetiser), a monk seal lounging on the beach, and a myriad of water life. Also the tour of the ancient Hawaiian village with narration by first mate Daryl was an interesting aside before the beach luncheon and snorkle adventure. This trip will be a "must do" the next time we visit the Garden Isle. Aloha and Mahalo to the crew Sean and Dayrl and company that is the Na Pali Explorer

Captain Tara is the bomb. Not only does she know everything about your island, she is an marine biologist and an expert at getting that boat through any hidden cave.....And, she's a JERSEY GIRL! She took us places that we thought a boat couldn't fit into. We saw at least 80-100 dolphins that day, had a Naval fly over by 3 Sea Harriers and a massive C-130 cargo plane. Your island is so beautiful, it truly is a paradise. Aloha and Mahalo.

We went on the Na Pali snorkeling trip on August 20, 2006. Captain Rob did an exceptional job as our captain and tour guide! This was by far our favorite adventure on Kaua'i!

We visited Kauai on our honeymoon and took the Na Pali Explorer trip and had an amazing time. The crew was friendly and helpful and clearly love what they do. I can't say enough about this trip. I went into it it very high expectations and hopes and both were succeeded. Captain Tara was so fun and knowledgeable she made the trip even better. I had so much fun on the boat! It was so much fun snorkeling and seeing all the mountains, waterfalls, and caves. I did a lot of fun stuff while i was visiting Kauai, but [the] Na Pali was one of my favorites! The only bad part was that it rained on us for a little while and it felt like hail, but it [soon] stopped and I had a lot of fun. I forgot my [captain's] name, but he was really nice because while it was raining, he give me a rain coat. Then, on the way back, he was going to let me drive--but I didn't want to! Mahalo for such a great trip!

We took the explorer II on the 13th of July with Rob, Justin and Sean as our crew. Between the sites, the speed and which we traveled and how well versed these guys were on the coast line - we could not have asked for anything more! The trip was amazing. We felt very comfortable, as well as safe, with these guys and their knowledge of the water & land. We'll do it again next time we're in town - and tell all our friends about it. We were so amazed by the landscape that we actually went and hiked the trail into kalalau valley on the pihea trail 2 days later, and saw the explorer II go whizzing by! Mahalo!

We in New Zealand take pride from tourists comments about the beauty of our Country, however there is nothing in New Zealand that can be compared with the awsome beauty of the Na Pali Coast of Kauia. The exciting boatride comlimented by the friendly, knowlegable and competant crew make this trip one of a lifetime. An unforgettable experience that provides me with flasbacks of a truly magnificent day. Apart from numerous sightings of spinner dolphins and one of a whale one of the best memories of the trip was time spent swimming within the warm clear waters of the magnificent Cathedral Cave. Thank you Explorer One for the much appreciated experience.

Awsome! Awsome! Awsome! I have been to the Grand Canyon and rate this as good or better. We took the trip on Jun 17, 2006. We do a lot of cruises in the Carribbean and consider this trip to the Na Pali coast the best excursion ever. The crew was great! Got to see lots of fish while snorkeling. The cliffs and valleys are awe inspiring. We will be back!!!

Justin and Michelle were great tour guides, boat drivers, and everything else today on our adventure of the Na Pali coast. They should lead all the time! Thanks so much again for a wonderful few hours seeing Kauai from a different perspective.

We took the tour on May 23, 2006 on the Explorer II. Captain Rob & Maurice were outstanding. The sights spectacular. The snorkeling was a little disappointing as there were very few fish where we were anchored. Overall a very memorable & enjoyable trip and we will definitely plan on this again when we revisit Kauai. A must do & see.

We had the ride of our lives in May, 2006 on an Explorer boat adventure up the Na Pali Coastline. After being on a cruiseship, we hesitated to do any boat excursions, but I'm glad we didn't pass this one up! In my opinion, we had the best seats in the house, on the sides of the boat--better than any water park or log flume, for sure! In addition to dolphins, sea turtles and a mother and baby seal, we had the pleasure of seeing one of the last whales before its trip to Alaska. Although our cruise ship passed by the coastline on our way out of port, there was nothing like seeing it up close and personal, especially the sea caves. Thanks to the Captain and his shipmates for a great time!

It was one of the coolest things I have ever done in my life. We saw tons of fish, sea turtles, seals, and even a white tip reef shark. You get to see parts of Kaui most tourists never get see.

On our NCL cruise of the islands we participated in the Na Pali Explorer excursion. We tend to shy away from organized excursions, but I really wanted to see this coastline. I must say we had a great time. Although there was a couple on the boat with us who were extremely rude and contrary, the adventure was spectacular. We saw a whale breach, the dolphins swam beside the boat, we saw Monk seal and the green turtles were abundant. Captain Tara was great! I learned a lot and I was very impressed with the whole experience. I will strongly recommend you to everyone I know and I look forward to returning one day to your beautiful Garden Island. BTW, we returned to the other side of the coastline the next morning and hiked the trail for about a mile or so; it was magnificent! Thanks for a great day and great memories!

The Crew was Great Robert and David were Knowledgeable and Funny!!! They show you the Na Pali Cost like you have never seen before. On the way to the Cost we saw an impromptu Show by Spinner Dolphins. (Right next to the boat) The Boat which they say holds 44 only had 13 guest signed up which made the day even better The water was a little murky which left a lot to be desired in terms of Snorkeling. Not the crew’s fault just potluck. All in all the Ride was as smooth as any Captain could make it and the Sights are like nothing you will ever see anywhere else in the world. Highly recommend this tour if you don’t mind getting a little wet want to see Live Sea Creatures up close and personal and see the most amazing cost in the World!!! Thanks for such a great time P.S. We booked the Na Pali Explorer trip as a special experience for our family while on a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands in January 2006. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived in the port of Kauai only to find it bucketing with rain. As it turned out, the weather at Na Pali was a stark contrast to other parts of the island and we were treated to an incredible day of awe-inspiring scenery and spectacular snorkeling in crystal blue waters. Although the water was a little rough, we all felt safe in the capable hands of Capt Tara who gave us an utterly thrilling Na Pali adventure. Definitely, one of the highlights of our trip, the Napali Explorer is a must-do experience!!

Three weeks have passed since I boarded the Na Pali Explorer II. And I cannot fathom a length a time that will allow me to forget the splendor and majesty of Kauai and its Na-Pali Coast. I send thanks to Captain Rob, along with Justin and Jason, for showing to my family and me the land where God left his finger prints.

Having spent my childhood summers on Kauai, I never grow tired of experiencing the beauty and marine life along the Na Pali Coast. Capt. Sean and Justin were absolutely great! I always recommend people visiting Kauai to experience the magic of this coast as I will continue to do as well. Sean and Justin - we will request you as our crew on our next trip to Na Pali Coast!
